Le projet STIB est sur le cours du Heyselbeek en zone inondable. Le site est dans une cuvette. Il est particuli\u00e8rement bien situ\u00e9 pour cr\u00e9er une zone de retention pour les eaux de pluie venant des parcs de Laeken (aujourd’hui une partie des eaux de pluie des parcs est envoy\u00e9e \u00e0 l’\u00e9gout, l’autre n’est pas g\u00e9r\u00e9e et d\u00e9vale les pentes). La capacit\u00e9 de r\u00e9tention du site est similaire au bassin d’orage pr\u00e9vu au parc des sports sur l’autre bras du Heyselbeek. La zone de r\u00e9tention serait donc compl\u00e9mentaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La cr\u00e9ation d’une zone de r\u00e9tention permettrait de r\u00e9duire tr\u00e8s fortement le risque d’inondation pour les Laekenois situ\u00e9s en aval (vall\u00e9es du Heyselbeek et Molenbeek).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cr\u00e9er un d\u00e9p\u00f4t STIB \u00e0 cet endroit priverait les Laekenois d’une opportunit\u00e9 rare ( et “low cost” ) dans la lutte contre les inondations outre les avantages syst\u00e9miques qu’offre d\u00e8s aujourd’hui le site ( <\/p>\n\n\n\n
